Important Dates for June 2, 2026 Primary Election

• February 9, 2026 Candidate filing begins.
• March 6, 2026 Close of regular candidate filing period. Extended candidate filing period begins for some offices.
• March 11, 2026 Close of extended candidate filing period.
• March 12, 2026 Random alphabet draw to be held at 11 AM to determine the ballot order of candidates’ names.
• April 6, 2026 Write-in candidate filing period begins.
• April 18, 2026 Federal deadline to mail military and overseas ballots.
• April 23, 2026 Last day to file 1st pre-election campaign statements.
• May 4, 2026 Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters by this date. First day to process ballot requests and returns.
• May 12, 2026 County Voter Information Guide shall be mailed no later than these date to voters registered by E-29.
• May 18, 2026 Registration deadline for this election (to be mailed voting materials by mail).
• May 19, 2026 Write-in candidate filing period ends / First day for conditional registration for this election.
• May 21, 2026 Last day to file 2nd pre-election campaign statements.
• May 26, 2026 Last day to request a ballot by mail for this election.
• June 2, 2026 ELECTION DAY
